Vermont Overland 2010 Day Trip List  note new day trips below

VO Day Trips are funfilled 4-6 hour trips covering light and scenic terrain.  Definitely stock vehicle friendly.  Here's how it works: Review the trip list below and decide which event(s) you'd like to attend. Hit the BOOK TRIP link to go to the registration page on bikereg.com and follow the directions to register for your event, or, better yet, register for them all by buying a season pass! Prior to the event, we'll send you a confirmation email with all up to the minute event information and instructions. On trip day, we'll meet at a specific Vermont location, do a quick vehicle check and then venture off on a point to point network of Vermont Class 3 (maintained) and Class 4 (unmaintained) roads of unparalleled scenic beauty. We'll make several stops at key locations to get out, take a short hike and stretch our legs (as well as the dogs'), take some pictures and eat some lunch. After lunch, we'll provide our signature espresso and home-made cookies and then we'll continue on our journey culminating at a charming Vermont tavern marking the end of the outing. Of course, all are encouraged to stop in the tavern for a quick post-outing celebration before setting GPS' for home. While lunch is not included in the outing, we'll provide extra water and, of course, the expresso and cookies!

We'll start most trips at 10:30 am, so there's time to drive up the morning of, or better yet, make a weekend of it by doing our day trip one day and a custom outing the next!  Most VO day trips start in or near Woodstock, VT, so be sure to look there for accommodations if you need them.

Please note that there is an eight-vehicle limit to our day trips so please sign up early using the link below!

Mode of communication for all VO trips is CB radio. If you don't have one already, no problem, we can rent you a handheld for a nominal charge (see sign-up page for details).

Once you've registered, look for our email updates with particular information as the trip date approaches.

If you have any questions whatsoever about anything VO related, please feel free to contact our main guides, Peter Vollers pvollers@vermontoverland.com or Jamil Abbasy jabbasy@vermontoverland.com

Please note the following

1) Bikereg fees as well as 6% VT sales tax will be added to your order at checkout.

2) Each event has a three vehicle minimum (so get your friends to go!) and an ten vehicle maximum (so sign up early!).

3) If the event does not achieve the three truck minimum pre-registration, it may still go forth as a custom VO outing if the registered participants are willing, but custom pricing would apply.

4) Due to the ten vehicle maximum with our day outings, we're afraid that we can offer no refunds for these trips.

5)  VO DAY-TRIP VEHICLE BREAKDOWN POLICY:  Vermont Overland is pleased to announce that Rodney Brooks, Owner of Performance Unlimited (www.performanceunlim.com) in Woodstock, VT, will be attending all VO day trips, not only to help us guide and spot, but also to handle any vehicle issues that may arise en route.  If there's a problem with any of the vehicles, Rodney will assess the situation and attempt to make a field repair.  If the problem is too serious to make a repair in 1/2 hour, Rodney will stay with the disabled vehicle and its owner and continue to make the repair after the rest of the participants have continued on with the trip.  If the repair cannot be made in the field, Rodney will use his own vehicle to recover (tow) the disabled vehicle off the trail and to a point where it can be trailered back to his shop.  Once off the trail, Rodney will fetch his truck and trailer, retrieve the disabled vehicle and deliver it to his shop in Woodstock where it can either be repaired or shipped to a repair location chosen by the owner.   Rodney will be charging for his services, if needed, at his usual shop rates.
