*Guided Self-drive 4x4 Excursions:

Your Vermont Overland guide will lead you and your friends in your own 4x4 licensed and insured motor vehicles on a beautiful Vermont backcountry trail ride. From light “greenlaning” to medium “rough country” to challenging “rock-crawling,” Vermont Overland has a guided trail ride for you or your group that is sure to thrill and entertain.

Greenlaning trip (2-3 hours): This non-damaging trip is designed for the beginner enthusiast wanting to get his or her feet wet or the seasoned off-roader wishing to relax and enjoy the beautiful Vermont countryside. The level of trail difficulty will be tailored to fit your preferences and/or experience as well as your vehicle’s capabilities. Even if your vehicle is not off-road biased, Vermont Overland will be happy to guide you on a lovely and scenic on-road tour of the most out of the way and interesting Vermont locales. $250/first vehicle*

Rough Country trip (3-4 hours): This trip is designed for the somewhat experienced off-road enthusiast group with capable 4x4s (Jeep Wrangler products, Land Rover products, Hummer, H2 and H3, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Nissan Xterra all in stock form are good examples). Trails will have lower to medium level obstacles to surmount. Some minor vehicle recovery may be involved so vehicle recovery points are a must. $275/first vehicle*

Rock-crawling challenge (5-6 hours): This trip is for the more experienced groups with vehicles designed and/or modified for heavy duty off-roading (Jeep Rubicon in stock form and other vehicles mentioned in “Rough Country” above, but modified for more difficult off-road terrain, are good examples). These trips will be all-out point to point trail rides with some of our toughest terrain thrown into the mix. Good recovery points, a full size spare tire, body protection, some suspension lift, mud-terrain tires and a winch if you have one are the order of the day. But don’t worry. We know that you still have to drive your vehicle home when we get off the trail! $295/first vehicle*

All trips include water and trailside snacks.

*6% Vermont sales tax will be added to all pricing. Each additional vehicle in customer’s group will be charged $50/vehicle. 10% discount with groups of five vehicles or more. Maximum 10 vehicles per outing.
