NO REFUNDS – NO EXCEPTIONS


When you sign up for a Vermont Overland event, you’re committing to a big day in the dirt—and we’re committing to making it a well rounded, valuable and epic experience. That commitment starts the second you register: your entry fee goes directly into permits, insurance, logistics, land-use fees, supplies, staff, AND donations to our three major charitable partners.

Because of that, we do not offer refunds for any reason. That includes:

  • Injury, illness, or unexpected life detours

  • Work demands or family stuff

  • Travel mishaps, weather-related chaos, or apocalypse scenarios

  • Regret, overtraining, or undertraining (we’ve all been there)


TRANSFERS: YOU HANDLE THE DEAL, MOVEMINT HANDLES THE PAPERWORK

We get it—life happens. While we don’t offer refunds, we do allow entry transfers through our registration partner, Movemint, if you can no longer attend.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Find a Buyer or someone you want to gift your entry to: It’s your responsibility to find someone who wants to buy or take your entry. We don’t provide a waitlist or matchmaking service.

  2. Negotiate the Deal: You handle the transaction directly with the buyer.

  3. Initiate the Transfer via Movemint: Once you’ve got someone lined up, log in to your Movemint account and use their transfer tool to officially transfer your entry.

All transfers must be completed through Movemint. This ensures our records are accurate, waivers are signed, and everyone gets the right swag and start time.

There may be a small processing fee during the transfer process.

PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM DEFERRALS

For pregnant or postpartum athletes, we proudly offer a one-time deferral to next year’s event—no questions, no fees.

Who’s Eligible:

  • Athletes currently pregnant or expecting at event time

  • Postpartum athletes within 12 months of giving birth or becoming a parent via adoption or surrogacy

What You’ll Get:

  • A guaranteed entry to next year’s edition of the same event

  • No fees or worries

  • Flexibility to return when you're ready

How to Request:

Email us via our contact page with the subject line “Pregnancy/Postpartum Deferral Request.” Include:

  • Your full name

  • Your Movemint confirmation number

  • The event you're registered for

  • A brief note explaining your situation (we don’t require medical documentation—we trust you)
